1. Prepare the asparagus stalks then put the frying pan under a low heat and melt one tablespoon of butter in it. Once melted, add the asparagus and cook it for a few minutes or until it turns a bright green. Make sure to spread the butter evenly on each asparagus stalk.
2. Test with a fork. If it penetrates the stalk with a little resistance, then it’s done. If the fork goes through very easily, then it is overcooked. Try to avoid this as asparagus tastes better when crisp.
3. For extra flavour, add a dash of salt and pepper.
